Brun Family

Vincent Brun was the first of the Brun’s to arrive in Acadia. He arrived with his wife Renee Breau in 1653 and together had 5 children; 3 boys and 2 girls. Vincent and his family lived in Port-Royal until his death around 1686. Vincent and Renne’s son Sebastien married Huguette Bourg and eventually had a son Jean Brun, who was later a prisoner at Fort Edward. After being released, Jean would go on to live in Miudie with his brother Pierre, and would then move to Cape Pele with his family around 1820. He would live in Cape Pele until his death in the year 1831.
