Wharf Day

Held in partnership with the Avondale Community Club, each summer the community comes together for a day of fun and relaxation enjoyed together along the waterfront. 
​

Bring a chair or something that floats and help us celebrate 30 years of Avondale fun in the sun! 

Schedule of Events Wharf Day 2022 

Soccer Darts for kids & Axe Throwing for grown-ups - All Day 

Heritage Society BBQ - 12 PM to 4 PM 

Flotilla on the Avon - 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM 

Classic Car Social - 3 PM to Dusk 

Open Mic & surprise local acts on the lighthouse stage - 3 PM to 7 PM 

Bar & refreshments in the Avon Spirit Shipyard - 3 PM to 12 AM 

Avondale's famous fireworks show - Dusk 

"Boathouse Bash" featuring Halifax's own "Deluxedos" - 9 PM to 12 AM 

Low Tide 8:45 AM & 8:59 PM 
Tidal Bore passes wharf 12 PM 
High Tide 2:52 PM

La Jour de QuaiChaque été la communauté vient ensemble pour un jour d’amusement et détente apprécier ensemble le long du bord de mer. Cette année nous avons organisé plusieurs activités amusantes qui incluent la pêche sur le quai, glissant de boue dans la rivière, le Salon de l’Automobile d’Avondale, les activités récréatives pour les enfants et adultes, un BBQ, une danse et pour finir le feu d’artifice!
